For the first time, the Music Department hosted a Sixth Form and Upper School Musical Showcase in the Performing Arts Centre, to a very supportive staff and students.
The concert focussed on the main examined component of Year 13 student, Eden-Haya, as she nears completion of her L3 BTEC Extended National Certificate in Performance course.
Eden hosted the second part of the concert and led a band who performed songs such as 'Kiss from A Rose', 'Heaven' and 'Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered'.
The first part of the concert was made up with some fantastic performances from our Year 10 and 11 students. Two ensemble performances of 'All Day and All of The Night' featured Leena, Matthew, Romain and Jamie, piano solo 'Turkish March' was played by Yousef, violin solo 'Golden Hour' featuring Edlyn and a vocal trio featuring Eden, Petra and Goncalo sang 'Hold Back the River'.
A big thanks to Mr Brady for sound and recording, Mr Mullen (Drum Teacher) and Dr Rodgers (for performing in groups), as well as Chandan and Matthew for featuring in Eden's showcase.
The quality of performance was outstanding from a selection of the most wonderful students.
