On Tuesday 21 March 2023, the whole school (Primary Phase, Secondary Phase and Sixth Form) celebrated a brilliant Culture Day!
We invited our students to wear traditional dress/clothing items that represent them, their background or culture. We gave students the opportunity to donate £1.00, if they were able to. Our Primary Phase raised £115.74 and the Secondary Phase raised £227.36. All funds raised will be donated to a local charity that supports Diversity & Inclusion.
During Culture Day, we put up decorations around the entire buildings, cultural graphics were displayed on our TV screens and a travelling Samba band, which transitioned through each Phase. We also a cultural themed menu for the day:
Break time options were: Meat/Veg Samosas, Onion Baji’s and Meat/Veg Patties.
Lunch time options were: Tikka Masala with Naan Bread, Vegetable Special Fried Rice with Prawn Crackers and Jerk Chicken, and Rice & Peas.
