On Tuesday 5 November, Year 4 arrived to find a mysterious note in their classroom and some very important items missing! We set off to the Great Hall to investigate with nerves of steel and unreliable torches.
When we arrived, we found a very unsettling scene - a pitch-black hall with trails of cobwebs hanging from every surface, withered flowers atop a dusty grand piano and skeletons lurking around every corner. We had been warned that someone would be watching - did the letter writer mean the unsettling portraits of old headmasters that lined the walls and seemed to be watching our every move?
Eventually, we discovered our missing items - but not before we had noticed the creepy footprints and scattered chairs that surrounded them. Perhaps we had disturbed someone in the act of doing something even more sinister? With our mission accomplished, we headed back to the Primary Phase breathing a sigh of relief at having survived our spooky encounter!
