On Tuesday 9 July, Year 6 were lucky enough to be invited by the secondary Science Department to take part in an interactive Biology session.
Firstly, students reviewed their previous learning about the circulatory system, which was one of Year 6’s science units this summer term. Next, students watched Miss Mahmood and Mrs Boyd model how to dissect a heart. We then put gloves and goggles on so that we could handle the hearts ourselves, allowing us the opportunity to locate the different components of the heart, such as the valve.
All students were really engaged by the session and it has made them even more excited for September.
